To those who "owe" me art (commissions):

  • Take your time. When you're done, please send me an e-mail instead of a note, since I hardly ever visit dA anymore (obviously). But whatever floats your boat.
  • Please wait for me to respond that I've got the art before, say, DELETING it. Not before you've sent me a copy, at least. There's Sta.sh, or MediaFire, or e-mail for that, if you wish to never look at your old arts ever again.
  • I would prefer for the unpaid, yet-to-be-started commissions from as far back as 2010 to be cancelled. Yes, really. The newer requests (from, say, July 2012) are still a go, if you don't mind.

To those whom I owe

  • cash: Hmm, I think I've got all the cash commissions covered, but I could be wrong. Not bloody likely. But I could be wrong. XD Please note/e-mail me.

I'm kind of obsessed with the self-assured Nomiya from Honey and Clover right now. I look at him and think, "Ahh, not only would I tap him, I'd also date him." Even with his youth suit on. Arguably because, at my age, I'm attracted to the stability and calm (financial, mostly) he represents (kind of like what Shuu is to Hagu). Well, I've never really been a romantic IRL from the start.

(Of course, even more arguable is the fact that, at my age, I'm still fantasizing about fictional characters. Haha.)

Wherein I wonder just who the heck should be teaching whom. :iconrlytearplz:

When a bunch of five- to six-year-old kids "out-art" you, you kinda feel like you've lost. :lmao:

He is M*, by the way. While half the kids zip through "creative time" to play before they snack, he's one of those who always, always enjoys the process—savours it, even. That tray of crayons there is shared by four to five kids in a table, so he tends to get distracted and mildly annoyed whenever his choice of colour is unavailable. He's such an amusing child.

On a more solemn note, the teachers were naturally feeling distressed today. Dealing with (street) kids every day, they couldn't help feeling that the recent school shooting in the U.S. was a bit too close to home. Such injustice; what tragedy.

Let me talk to myself first...

Withdrawal

Would anyone happen to know someone who accepts fan fiction commissions? Preferably one who is already familiar with Yu Yu Hakusho and doesn't balk at a certain cracktastic pairing (i.e., Kurama/Botan). Strong writing skills are a plus. I'm always available to proofread/beta the fic before it gets published, in any case. (A fair warning: While I'm easily pleased when it comes to art, I'm easily put off by simple mistakes in literature. Especially when the errors are in the commission info. I laugh a lot when I read "alot", too. Or when I see "commission" misspelled. Yeah. Use a spellchecker, at least.)

There's not enough KB fan fictions. See, I avoided them like a plague until about five years ago, when I decided I needed more KB. Right now, I'm at that point again—there's this insatiable thirst for more of my OTP. I'm trying to curb, or at least distract, the fangirl in me by turning to another old favourite, Rurouni Kenshin—and perfect timing, too, since the live-action film will hit the local cinemas in two weeks—but... YYH... KB...

My answers for the ten questions below should be enough for the "10 (interesting) things". I'm not at all very interesting.

How long does it take you to draw?
I don't draw. But if I had the skills, it'd probably take me forever. Although I'd certainly be sketching Kurama/Botan every day. Haha. Well, I have no patience for art (creation), unfortunately.
Do you procrastinate a lot?
Hmm, let's see... Uhm. May I answer this question tomorrow? Or maybe never?
What's your favorite subject in class?
My Journalism course under the illustrious Prof. Luis V. Teodoro. I fought tooth and nail to get a slot in that class (his classes had become rare by then), and it was the best semester of my colourful campus life.
Do you have a crush? LoL..
Negative. Hard for me to look at any guy without seeing him as a [potential] drinking buddy; harder to look at a girl and see her assets beyond her...assets. (Unless you count my lifelong admiration for Ms. Lea Salonga a "crush"?)
What was your most embarrassing moment? LoL..
Ugh. Too embarrassing to say. ... No, that's a lie. There's just nothing that comes to mind as "the most". They're all equally mortifying.

Not actively. I used to play bowling ('cause my dad's a pseudo-pro) and table tennis (trained by a national player, even). I like small balls... in sports. Now my back problems don't afford me much, erm, ball-playing.

Haaah~ I could use some positive vibes.
What are your dreams in life?
To hook up with a rich guy, and die [relatively] young. And rich.
How did you found out about deviantART?
Word of mouth? I didn't sign up until a little over five years ago—just so I could easily "fave" KB fan arts, really (my bookmarks were becoming an awful mess)—but I had heard about it long before then.

I don't, usually. Or I try to suppress the urge. I understand preferences and all, but BY GODS, if you want Kurama with Hiei/Yusuke/others or your OC (don't. even. get. me. started.), commission your own damn piece. I let deviation comments slide, and in fact very rarely (if ever) read them, but having people's preferences noted to me leaves a bad taste in my mouth—I find it utterly distasteful.

I'm not a fan of Kurama. And I flat-out dislike Hiei (I don't get along with jerks who use their dark, stormy past as an excuse to be jerks). Marry 'em for all I care, sheesh. You see, the way you're all enthusiastic with and emotionally-invested in your pairing of choice is the way I'm all enthusiastic with and emotionally-invested in my own. You understand, right, kids? I'm not necessarily "wasting" my money on Kurama, because I like the way he and Botan look with each other. Get it?

Now run along.



On a slightly-related-but-not-really note, wow, am I getting tired of including Kurama in commissions. I don't really even like him all that much, but lately I just feel uninspired. It almost feels like I'm betraying my OTP. But then this art from la-sera tickled my dying devotion. Huzzah!


The reason I almost always ask for either Youko Kurama or half-human!Kurama with his hair in high ponytail (some artists forget, but that's OK) is that he looks best and ~manlier~ that way.
